FOXNews.com - Foxlife - Reality Catches Up With Reality TV

Reality TV has, for the most part been a big turn-off for me. I miss the days when mindless hours spent watching the idiot box weren’t marred with a nearly unexpected incident such as seeing someone eat something still alove and crawling. *blech*

I do enjoy an occasional hour or so each week but it’s always the more tame variety of “reality.” The scariest thing on The Apprentice is Donald’s hair, but even then I couldn’t watch the first half of the first season because of it. I don’t think I’ll ever get to the point where I can watch the gross dinner stunts - I’ll probably even skip that episode of Survivor.

I think we get the point - some people will do anything to get on television, and most everyone else will pretty much sit around and watch them do it. I’m kind of glad to see a decline in the interest in reality tv.

Now, if only I could find a way to get on the next round of “Big Fat Loser.”

It’s been awhile… so how about an update?

Honestly, though - there’s not much updating to do.

Went to Seattle last weekend - although I didn’t take pictures so not much to share. Went with a fabulous friend, stayed with another fabulous friend, and took the fabulous kiddo along as well. The weekend, in short - was fabulous!

As for work… things have slowed down a bit. So much that The Boss is asking for weekly meetings so she can, let’s see - what was it? Where’s that email? Oh yes:

…So that I know what you’re doing and so that I can add more projects to your plate as I see fit.

Which is cool and all - I certainly wouldn’t want her to think I had nothing to do and fire my ass, right? Is it just me or does her tone always come off snarky in an email?

Meanwhile I’m job searching. How unfair there doesn’t seem to be much around here, yet there are at least a dozen prime openings out in Denver? Why oh Why? Just confirms my thinking - wait until the end of the year… see what happens on my review - then decide.

Anyway life has hit one of its more boring snags which is why I haven’t updated here. Don’t want to spread the bore, right.
’till next time,
