Back on the hunt

Now that life has gone from Casa de Drama to Chez Neurotic (you know, back to normal?) I figure it’s time to get back to the lovely business of finding a new apartment.

2 hours covering over 30 miles scouring the area turned up jack shit.  Holy hell this sucks.  Uhhh, yeah, if you could just - please make this go away?  That would be greeeeaaaaat.  mmmmm’kay?  Thanks.

I did take a peek at a cute little condo for rent…  only it’s not in the area I want/need.  I mean, the commute to work already sucks.  I don’t want to move so that the commute is even longer - that would just be stupid.

Also? Can we talk about how all the used-to-be RENTAL property has been converted into condos that you have to buy to live in?  Because, yeah.  When the price of property the size of a postage stamp sells for a kajillion dollars it makes it pretty fucking hard to buy a place.  It also seriously shrinks the available rentals… meaning supply goes DOWN.  Even if demand stays constant… that means prices increase.  So that’s nearing the level of unaffordable as well.
You know. Whatever.  It just means I’ll have to move in to some meth-lab apartment, complete with crazy-ass faces of meth neighbors with missing teeth and frizzy meth-hair. Thrilling prospect.

The best way I’ve come up with to deal with this so far:  take a nap.  Which is what I’m going to do now.  Before I start obsessively combing the rental ads.  Again.  For the 3rd time today.  Goodbye, I am taking a nap now!
