My first meme! Well, the first one I’ve been tagged to do. LilDB tagged me for this, although I warn you I only can think of one person that I know - who also blogs - and who hasn’t already been tagged. I am a blog loner loser flop, I think.

10 Things I hate.

1. Bitching. BUT!!!!! Not just bitching in general. We all bitch about stuff. Only the bitching where the person is bitching but not DOING anything to change the cause of the bitching. Not only that, but also insists that nothing they can do will change the situation and also eliminate the need for the bitching. So essentially the only thing they can do is bitch about it. Look. If you have something causing you to bitch THAT much… chances are you can do SOMETHING to change it. I’ll also add that my irritation diminishes once someone is bitching about something that sucks, because it still sucks even though they are doing something now to change it. Ok? Phew. (Also. I am not talking about you.)

2. Ignorance. Oh, how I loathe thee. Racists. Prejudice. George W. Bush (and those who buy into all his bullshit lies, etc.). Classists. Sexists. People who think the ’sancitity of marriage’ is somehow attacked when two men or two women want to marry. ALL Ignorant. It’s too bad ignorance isn’t painful - maybe more people would be motivated to move out from under it. Yes - I do know that I hold my own forms of prejudice against all members of a certain group: namely ignorant people. I’m ok with dealing with that as one of my issues.

3. Abusive People. You suck, and I hope life hands you everything you’ve earned as a result of your actions (be that good or bad - so long as it’s what you deserve). Please don’t bother me with how your parents raised you… Once you became an adult - the responsibility of your actions falls on YOU. It’s your job not to repeat their bad behavior.

4. Using the word “addiction” to classify everything, therefore removing the expectation of accountability and responsibility for their actions. Just because you like something a lot and prefer to do that rather than laundry, does not mean you are an addict. It means your priorities are fucked up. Get a grip.

5. Liars. Sometimes the truth sucks. A lot. Sometimes the truth hurts. Even so, let’s just deal with it, rather than trying to hide it or ignore it or convince yourself and everyone else that it’s not so.

6. Parents who use their children as pawns. Especially in a divorce situation. Your Ex-Spouse or Soon to Be Ex-Spouse does not pay you for the priviledge of seeing or spending time with their children. Child support and Visitation are mutually exclusive. No matter what.

7. Employers who knowingly take advantage of their employees. This happens more than you think, simply because people either don’t know their rights according to the law, or they depend on their job too much to be able to stand up for themselves. Also when an employer unknowingly takes advantage of their employee(s), but does nothing to make up for it once they learn they have.

8. Unsolicited Parenting advice! (You knew that one had to show up.) Especially from people who don’t have children. It’s doesn’t make you helpful. It makes you an asshole. I know - I used to be an asshole just like you. Trust. Same goes for anyone who IS a parent and wants to engage in Parent Warfare (stemming from “mommy wars.”) You are an asshole. I don’t care if they just crowned you Mother of the Fucking Universe. We all have flaws and insecurities as parents, and fuck all if we’re not dealing with them the best way we know how. Who the hell are you to try and jump in and make it harder than it already is? Piss off.

9. Micro-managers. Simply stated: You are fucking annoying. Go away and find something else to do. Better yet, get some help with your control issues. Seriously - stop making your issues my problem to deal with and be all diplomatic about. If you want it done your way - just fucking do it yourself.

10. Religious fanatics. Look, I may like to run around naked under a full moon and chant as I perform certain fertility rites… but I keep that shit to myself. Why don’t you take a page from that book and do the same? We’re not interested. Take your glassy-eyed fervor and cram it somewhere dark, tight, an unlubricated. That’s how we feel when you’re pushing your bullshit on us. Are you getting it now?

Wow! Ok. I think I’m a little fired up after that!

So now I’ll go ahead and tag my Spunky Scrapper pal, my only-est other friend in the blog world that I know (or that knows me) well enough to tag for a meme. Anyone else feel free to jump in on this one and post a link back - 10 things is a lot of hate but I feel SURE I missed something (like shitty drivers! - and shitty drivers with no insurance! - and shitty drivers with no insurance who hit your car!).

**Update**  Yes - I was reminded of this a little while ago:  Pee talkers!  I hate pee talkers!  There is to be NO talking while there is peeing.  We have to share a bathroom so none of us can pee alone - the least you can do is have the decency to pretend I don’t exist while I am peeing.  Especially if you are done and washing your hands.  What the fuck, lady - you just peed in peace, why can’t I?
