I think this is my favorite post ever this year today so far.

In other news, I’m back at my own desk breathing numbers of fine particulates per million this week.

Two weeks away from home, and all I can say is I am totally moving to Oregon.

Highlights of my time there include:

Still dark at 7am. Tra la! for ONCE I was finally up and out of the house hotel before the sun, without feeling all, GAK! Want for more sleep.  Instead I was happy to get a “head start” on the day.

Temperatures: lows in the 40’s, highs in the 60’s. Crisp. Breezy. Blowing leaves! Steaming mugs of coffee or cider… mmmmm. Thermal shirts + jeans + cute boots = Glee. Not to mention - imagine how much STUFF I can knit and then actually WEAR.

Also? Rain. Makes me happy.

And, I found a mall with a Sephora, AND a Nordstrom - both of which were out of a particular item I have been trying to find at my local Macy’s for weeks. So that wasn’t all that impressive until I found a JC Penney with a Sephora INSIDE it (uhm, wha??) where they had tube upon tube of my precious product so I was really not stopping long to contemplate the store-within-a-store weirdness they had going on there.

What is not to love?

It’s looking like I’ll be there for New Year’s. Maybe then I won’t feel like such a dork for bringing my camera actually using my camera and then I’ll show you so you can see what I mean.

Cynical.

Looking at the awesomeness of what this guy has done in these pictures and thinking, “I wonder if he’s a tweaker.”

I am on life overload.

There is crazy - the kind that happens slowly while you’re not really paying attention.  Then there’s the crazy where you see it coming but there’s nothing you can really do about it until all of a sudden you realize OOPS!  I just lost my mind.

I think I might be trying to drive myself crazy.  At least a little bit.

I’m going to veer sharply off topic now and ask, “Are you hiring?”

My brother needs a job, and he has been looking for one for about a month now, and yet still he has no job.

Were you wondering what he is looking for?  Well, I can tell you, the answer is: pretty much anything.  Anything legal that pays regularly.  It does not even have to pay enough for him to support himself.  Just enough to give him more than zero dollars when he is done.

These types of jobs seem to be extremely hard to find.  No one seems to hire for these jobs.  He and I are both completely dumbfounded by this.

Meanwhile, my kiddo is turning 9.  I have sucked royally at planning a birthday party (again!) this year.  So, it is tentatively scheduled for next weekend, but I’m now considering moving it to the weekend after that. Because, I will be leaving that weekend and will be gone for two weeks.  So planning a party for the day before I leave sounds like the perfect way to go!

That is, of course, if I really am *trying* to drive myself crazy.
